The Learning Department offers a number of Maths and English activities for Key Stages 1, 2 and 3. Most schools combine their Maths and English trails with one of our art and craft workshops to make a whole day of their visit. Find out more below or contact a member of our Learning team. 

Maths trails

Drawing inspiration from the Cathedral building, we have a number of activities that develop skills in Maths, ranging from 2D and 3D shape, measuring and pattern & symmetry. For EYFS and Key Stage 1, our Buckets Full of Shape & Colour and Shape & Measure trails are best suited, whilst for Key Stage 2 and 3, our Maths trail is ideal. To compliment these, our Stained Glass and Clay Tile workshops are perfect. 

English

Using the history or Christian heritage of the Cathedral, we offer both Poetry and Creative Writing activities for pupils at Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. These can be linked to any of our other trails and workshops to make a creative day of learning.
