The Learning Department currently offers a choice of Virtual activities in History and RE for pupils in Key Stages 2, 3 and 4. Led from the Cathedral and beamed right in the heart of your classroom we offer a range of activities for schools who are unable to visit us in person.

Virtual History Workshops

Join us as we introduce a variety of characters from the past, right into the heart of your classroom in these live, interactive workshops. Ideal for Key Stage 2 and lasting up to 60 minutes, each workshop covers a different period of history, including Romans, Saxons, Vikings, the Medieval Monastery, Tudors and Victorians. Interviewed by our intrepid reporter and questioned by your own children, each character uses a range of artefacts to bring the past to life.

Cost: £75 per class

Virtual RE Workshops

Why not take your pupils on a live, interactive tour of the Cathedral in our new virtual RE workshop? Ideal for Key Stage 2, 3 or 4 and tailored to suit your learning needs, the activity lasts for up to 60 minutes, and can cover topics including Baptism, Communion, the Cathedral building, Understanding Christianity and the Shrines of St Alban & St Amphibalus.

The children loved meeting Maximus in their Roman workshop! They were totally engaged throughout and enjoyed seeing and learning about all the different artefacts he showed them. It was great to have the children's questions answered too!! Very many thanks.
