St Albans Cathedral Learning Department offers activities for students of all Key Stages and beyond. Using role play, artefacts, experiential learning and the building itself, pupils encounter the stories and history of St Albans Cathedral and learn in new and inspiring ways through a variety of trails and workshops.

We are always delighted to welcome school visits to the Cathedral, with options for guided, worksheet and self-guided visits, as well as virtual and outreach visits. Welcoming around 14,000 pupils from over 300 schools per year, with some visiting through our Bursary Scheme, the Learning Department activities uses the wonderful Cathedral building to teach a range of subjects, including RE, History, Art & Craft, Science, PSHE, Geography, Maths and English

Visit our School Visits section to get more information on what we can offer.

Both self-guided visits and guided workshops must be booked in advance. To find out more or to make a booking for your visit please contact us at [email protected] or call us on 01727 890212.  You can also register your interest below.
